Inka Baptism or Sutichay, is a ritual with the purpose of providing protection to a baby or child against those spirits which might cause them harm.
In the old days new-born children were taken to the “Qori Kanchay Temple” and presented to the Willka Amautha Willakoq Inka, who gave them the name which would become the sacred symbol that would determine their destiny.
Today you can baptise your child, whatever their age, gender or religious belief, and make him, or her, a part of our ancestral culture.
